Rise (chapter 2)
I poked Ludwig's cheek while he was dozing off. "Wuzzat?" He snapped awake. Feliciano chuckled and added, "You're so cute when you're flustered, Ludwig." "No I'm not," Ludwig said. "Seems to me that you are together now. Correct?" I asked. Feliciano blushed and nodded. "When did you and Ludwig start dating?" "I asked him out in May, so we haven't been together that long, heh." As the Honda car rolled out of our driveway, I plugged in my headphones. I turned on Pandora and set it to the Fall Out Boy station. Time to stare out the window and dream.
30 minutes later
Yao stopped driving and nudged my shoulder. I turned off Pandora and took my headphones off. "Hey Kiku, we're here at the hospital." "Oh, I got distracted by the scenery," I said. "I received this letter earlier, and it seems to be mailed to you." He handed the letter to me. I glanced over it, scrutinizing the details. Apparently, it was an invitation to a camp for deaf and hard of hearing teens. Huh. That might be something for me. After all, I had a severe hearing loss. And, oh yeah, I was the only student in my school who had... This. Of course, I was the bullies' target. It would be nice to meet other kids like me. "It sounds much better than school, that's for
I have a confession to make. Over the summer vacation, I was thinking about myself a lot. More specifically, about my gender identity. I discovered that I hated being called a "girl". People constantly used "she" and "her", and I wanted to cry. But I couldn't. Because no one else knew this. I did not want to be called a guy either. With this in mind, I researched the different gender identities. I couldn't find the perfect one until I found "agender". Agender means "the lack of gender". Yes. This was what I wanted.
Now, I am agender.

As I ran outside from the locker room, I froze in my tracks. A German guy was standing in front of me.
"Und vhere do jou zhink jou're going?"
"Uh... outside?"
That was the best answer I could give. He chuckled and smiled. God, he was handsome. His slicked back blonde hair, blue eyes, and muscular body made me blush. He didn't seem to be a player either. "Mitsukiiii!" Maria called. "Oh, um, I have to go. Sorry." I said to the German. "By zhe vay, mein name is Ludwig Beilschmidt." "Mitsuki Aihara." I then ran back to Maria. "I'm back." My voice was hoarse from running.

"Open ranks, march!"
You were the third cadet in the fourth element. One of the few girls in the flight, you were short enough to be the guide, or flag carrier.
